Mykita Mylon Pelot Eyeglasses. Mykita venture into 2013 with a foray of frames via their first optical collection using the mylon material. Taking inspirations from athletics motifs and stripped-back futuristic design cues, the collections exhibits an array of colorful frames for both practical and trend-driven purposes. While some models nod at classic construction mixed with modern refinement, others reinterpret the popular ’30s round- and panto-shaped in contemporary color ways. Lightweight, flexible and technical. Created for use in sports, all models of the collection are both sportswear and accessories at the same time.
A pitch black mylon frame with skull like temples and featuring a newly developed remarkably elegant and intelligent resilient screw-less hinge system made of 0.8 mm flat sheet metal using a new technique - metal injection molding. Putting your glasses on is now extremely comfortable and easy due to the practical flex-hinge effect. This frame reinterprets the traditional round shape for the present, making a cutting edge, contemporary frame out of their historical predecessors from the thirties, in combination with the mylon material.
The lenses can be made in prescription or non-prescription by us or your local optical boutique for an additional charge.
